Kuban companies hold more than 400 negotiations with potential buyers at the Canton Fair in China

Following a five-day work period, the delegation from the Krasnodar Region achieved preliminary agreements on supplies with a total value exceeding $2.3 million USD.

«The participation of Kuban enterprises in the Canton Fair demonstrated high export potential of the region. Our companies not only established new business contacts, but also achieved tangible results: the total volume of preliminary agreements exceeded 2.3 million USD. It is particularly important that we enter new international markets with processed foods, including culinary sauces, alcoholic beverages, and innovative food products,» said Vasily Vorobiov, Acting Head of the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region.

During the exhibition, several specific deals were reached, including those on wheat and corn supplies to China, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt worth over 1 million USD, as well as those on supplies of corn, wheat flour, and vegetable oils to China, African countries, and the Middle East. Shipments may range from 30 to 100 tonnes of products per month.

Long-life cakes, hummus, tofu pâtés, and waffles are among the new products that might soon be available on the shelves of a major supermarket chain in China and one of the Persian Gulf monarchies. In addition, discussions are underway to supply trial batches of sparkling and still wines to the UAE and Hong Kong. Our partners in the Philippines, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Kyrgyzstan have expressed interest in our waffles and sugar confectionery products.

The exhibition was held from 31 October to 4 November in Guangzhou, China. Ten Kuban companies participated in the Canton Fair with the support of the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region.
