Krasnodar Region to become a permanent venue for showcasing Russia's achievements in the development of the bioeconomy

An agreement to hold the Bioprom international forum in the Krasnodar Region on a permanent basis has been signed by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar Region, and Ekaterina Egorycheva, Technical Operator of the forum and CEO of Formika Event.

«The Krasnodar Region has well-developed logistics and a modern infrastructure; it also has extensive experience in hosting large-scale international events of various formats. What is more, we have enormous scientific and industrial potential for introducing our own developments in key industries. One of the most promising areas is the use of biological resources and living microorganisms to create new products and technologies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and agricultural industries. Now that this agreement is signed, we will be able to hold the Bioprom forum in the Krasnodar Region on a permanent basis. This will contribute to the development of Kuban's industrial potential and exhibition infrastructure and will strengthen international business ties,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The agreement will facilitate cooperation to advance the biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetics, and mechanical engineering industries in Russia. It will contribute to increased exports of bioproducts manufactured by enterprises within these sectors, as well as to the exchange of technologies between sectors and internationally.

«Bioprom has officially become an annual event, which is of great significance for us, the forum's organisers. This means that subjects addressed at the Bioprom forum are of relevance not only at the national level but also on a global scale. Biotechnology is no longer a concept of the future. This is something we need to develop right now to improve the quality of life for all individuals and to propel our state to a leading position in the world,» said Ekaterina Egorycheva.
