Governor of Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratyev meets with pharmaceutical manufacturers from India

Veniamin Kondratyev and Rajiv Kumar Singh, Head of the Representative Office of Shilpa Medicare Limited in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, discussed opportunities for opening new production facilities in the region.

«Your company is known worldwide for its pharmaceuticals, including those for cancer treatment, and various vaccines. The Krasnodar Region is home to over 6 million residents. Therefore, the localisation of the production of drugs, medicines, and medical devices is very important. We need to start the production of our own high-quality medical products, attract investment in this area, and develop the pharmaceutical industry. That is why we are interested in creating modern enterprises in Krasnodar. We are prepared to offer our assistance with the investment project, providing support at all stages of the process," said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Rajiv Kumar Singh said that he is a graduate of Kuban Medical University and has been living in Russia for almost 30 years.

«As part of the first stage of the project, we plan to start construction of a small plant for the production of biologically active additives and packaging in the near future.

In the coming years, we intend to establish a major enterprise for the manufacture of high-quality cancer drugs. Presently, these medications are quite costly anywhere in the world. However, our production in the Krasnodar Region will make these products more affordable for residents and visitors alike. We possess the necessary investment, equipment, and technology,» said Rajiv Kumar Singh.
